SAFINA, a.s. is also a well established producer of high quality platinum products for glass industry. Wide assortment of products for glass industry is represented by products of the following types: catalogue laboratory equipment (pots, plates, caps, sample boats, spoons, laboratory stirrers etc.), outlet devices (homogenizers), wells and capsules for thermocouples, outlet forming ringlets and plates, wiping metal sheets, coating for wiping stones, bubble jets, homogenization and forming of glass in glass industry. This assortment is manufactured mainly as custom made according to customer’s documentation using Pt, Rh, Pd and their alloys.
Wide range of glass industry of SAFINA, a.s. also offers technology of platinum coating for ceramics. Implementation of this technology refers to use of platinum coated thermocouple basins and equipment for dosing containers, e.g. dosing plungers, discharge basins, stirrers, etc., and also for areas, where a very good anti-corrosion resistance and long life cycle of the before mentioned equipment are required.
This technology is also used as more economic method of mechanical coating of furnace parts, e.g. heat resistant blocks, canals, screens, palisade stones and other parts, which with their long life cycle add to the production life extension of glass welding factories.
